Cats Urgently Needing Loving Homes
Molly (Female)
Darling little Molly looks rather like an overgrown kitten, but
we think she is actually around 4-5 years old. She loves to be near
people and has a sweet, endearing personality.
This is what her fosterer has to say about her:-
"Molly has been with us now for about 10 weeks and is desperate to
get outside and enjoy this lovely weather. Her favourite past time
is sitting on the windowsill in the sun or on your knee. She enjoys
being combed and has a good appetite, eats anything, loves cat milk,
ham and Hoola Hoops meat flavour (she is only allowed one a day,
though.
When Molly arrived she was desperately thin and had bad skin with a
large amount of hair loss. Her weight has gained slowly with regular
small meals, and after a course of antibiotics her skin condition
has improved. In fact, her coat is now almost back to normal.
She loves to be fussed and gets on with our girl cats but not our
male cat, and she finds our older dog and young puppy to be no
problem at all.
Please consider Molly as your companion; she is long due a loving
home and a happy family life."
(Molly does have an allergy to flea bites but this can be kept under
control with regular anti-flea treatment.)

Puffin &
Scamp (Males)
Both
being fostered in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire
Three and a half month old tabby boys Scamp and Puffin were
living rough in a man’s back garden with their pregnant mum when
we were called out to help catch them. They were both very scared
on arrival. Over time, they have become braver and are now used to
human company. Cheeky Scamp and timid Puffin are very close
companions and play and sleep together. They love toys and string
and use a scratching post and tower. They must be homed together
so that Puffin’s confidence can increase by having his brother
with him.
SCAMP
Scamp is friendlier than Puffin and is happy to have a fuss (he
loves having his face rubbed). He likes to rub himself round your
legs and purrs like crazy when it’s dinner time. He rolls over to
have his tummy tickled but only lets you do it for a little bit
before he’s off doing something else! He’s not very keen on being
picked up and tends to wriggle until you let him go but he is
getting better and, with time, Scamp will improve. He likes to
play
with his toys and runs about chasing toy mice.
PUFFIN
Puffin is much more shy than Scamp. He will let you stroke him but
only when he
is eating - otherwise he runs away and hides. He is still very
nervous around people but all he needs is time and someone with
patience to help him learn to trust. Underneath all the
scarediness is, no doubt, a lovely little cat who just needs a
chance of a happy future in a secure new home with his brother.
A minimum donation of £60 is required, please, to pay towards
their mum being spayed. These two boys will need to be neutered
when they are 6 months old but have been de-fleaed and wormed.
If you"re interested in young Puffin & Scamp, please contact us by
telephoning their fosterer, who is based in Huntingdon,
Cambridgeshire, on 01480 417667 (please leave a message if no
reply and we will get back to you as soon as possible).

George (Male)
What a big and handsome boy!
Apart from the vet (and I'm sure most other cats will agree with
him there), George simply loves the company of humans. He also
seems not to be bothered by the presence of the other cats in his
foster home, so we think he may possibly be fine with them, too.
As you might expect from such a whopping great chap, George
certainly does like his food. He's also managed to make himself
very much at home on the sofa.
He's a cat who knows his own mind, and we think his mind (not to
mention his stomach) would be very happy indeed if someone offered
him a loving home, with company, a sofa and plenty of food.
(If a vet is reading this, please also feel free to ask about
adopting George - but only if you promise not to wear your uniform.
Perhaps you could pretend to have a different job? A petfood
manufacturer would probably go do down well with him. Or anything,
really, that doesn't involve being a vet.) :-)

MAGIC (Female)
Pensioner thrown out of home!
Magic came from an old folks' home, where she lived in the smoking
room and kept the old folks happy. Unfortunately, when the smoking
ban came along, the room was used for another purpose and Magic was
turfed out.
She's such a nice girl who was used to being fussed and loved. It
must have broken her heart to have all that, and the only home she
knew, suddenly wrenched away from her.
Magic is an elderly cat who has a old spinal injury, which meant
that she
dragged her tail and walks with a wiggle. We decided that the best
thing for her was to have the tail removed. Magic is not in any
discomfort.
Unfortunately, she is also not very house trained, and this could be
as a result of the spinal injury. We are working on her, though, to
see if she can be improved through training.
She is now very happy at her foster home, where she spends most of
her time outside. She's OK with kids, grumbles at other cats but keeps away from them
(she is currently living with 5 other cats). She
is very friendly and ideally needs someone who can put up with the
mess by confining her to one room, such as a kitchen, and give her
free access outside.
Imagine how you would feel if you were poor Magic. Now can you
imagine her curled up on your lap, enjoying a cuddle? Imagine how
much happier she'd be then? If so, please contact us now.
